Picture this: You just stepped out of an intense hot yoga class...and you're STARVING. But the idea of downing an enormous brunch straight after a sweat session makes you a little queasy. Ease your way into your morning fuel and keep up your post-yoga energy boost with this mango, raspberry, and cardamom smoothie courtesy of our friends at Furthermore, from Equinox. After getting all sweaty and opening up those pores, down some of those fiber-rich raspberries and mangoes for a post-yoga glow. Plus, cardamom can also help reduce inflammation and is a relative of ginger (a popular digestive aid). You'll instantly feel refreshed—and ready to tackle the rest of your day. MANGO AND CARDAMOM SMOOTHIE Makes 2 glasses Ingredients: 10 raspberries 1 ripe mango, cut into chunks 3/4 cup coconut milk 3/4 teaspoon ground cardamom 1 tablespoon honey 5-8 ice cubes Preparation: 1. Divide the raspberries between 2 glasses and crush a little using a spoon or fork. Place the glasses in the freezer and leave for 20 minutes to chill. 2. Place the mango, coconut milk, cardamom, honey, and ice cubes in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Taste and adjust the sweetness and flavor by adding more honey or cardamom. 3. Remove the glasses from the freezer, pour the smoothie over the raspberries, and serve.
